Pain And Happiness

Though happiness is something we all strive for it is also important for us to acknowledge our other emotions too including pain – both physical and psychological. Joy and happiness doesn’t mean ignoring or burying within us all the negative emotions that we feel. It is important for us to acknowledge and feel that pain and when we do it increases our ability to appreciate the happy moments that follow be it hours, days, months or years later. We become much more aware of the little things that make us happy following a painful event than if that event never happened. This helps us to understand that pain can have positive consequences and so can help us to manage the pain better. x
