No matter how terrible your situation there will always be something to connect you to the wonder and beauty of life.
In your head, find your “happy” place. It could be a place, an experience, an activity, a person or pet, animals, religious figures or symbols, a sound such as birds singing, a taste or smell, a texture, a special colour? It might be something that makes you smile inside or laugh aloud. Whatever it is, and these things evolve throughout out lives and can change from week to week, take time in your day to pause and think of it. Imagine that thought and pleasure flowing through you reaching every part of your body.
Whenever you do, this will release endorphins giving you positive energy.
Practising this technique opens a doorway to triggering the endorphins when you want or need them most. It is empowering you to change your thought processes.
